First off, Let me welcome you to Michael Thissen Photography. I am a recent graduate [May 2010] of Bradley University. Now I suppose that this is where I am supposed to put how I was started in photography. It mostly started in high school, where my dad used his Canon EOS Digital Rebel to take pictures of my sister and I's sporting events. I used the camera every now and then, but nothing too intense. While trying to find my place at Bradley, I took a class in the Spring semester of 2007 [Multimedia 113] with one Scott Cavanah. He informed the class about the Basic Black and White class that he would be teaching in the fall. Since he was an awesome teacher and I liked his teaching style, I decided to take the class. It was here where I really started to fall in love with the camera and photogtaphy as a whole. After that, I started to take more photography classes until I ultimately deicded to change my major. It was in taking these classes that I met some wonderful people who have helped me in ways that they can never images: Linda Pineda, Amber McFarlin, Kym Spooner, and Audrey Jungk. They are amazing photographers, and links to their pages will be provided once I recieve them. Explore the galleries, and enjoy! |
